Can my item be engraved?
Yes. We engrave on the reverse of the steel medical alert plate.
Up to 3 lines with maximum of 25 characters per line
The engraving plate is there for the essential, critical information paramedics, first responders and potentially even members of the public or schools need in an emergency. In the event of an emergency, the universal medical alert symbol on the front of your bracelet will alert medics to vital information. The plate is easily flipped over to reveal the engraving.
We suggest you include:
- Your name
- Any CRITICAL medical conditions, allergies or drugs that might affect how you are treated in an emergency (such as blood thinners)
- An ICE contact number - preferably a mobile
ICE stands for 'In Case of Emergency'. Emergency Services are also trained to look for ICE contacts in your phone so make sure it's in there too. Both android and iPhones will allow access to ICE contacts even when the phones are locked.

Who is my bracelet named after?
Patricia Era Bath (Born Nov. 4, 1942)
Patricia Era Bath is a pioneer in the field of community ophthalmology, a branch of public health. She founded the American Institute for the Prevention of Blindness. She was the first African American woman physician to receive a medical-related patent, for a device improving the use of lasers to remove cataracts. She was the first black resident in ophthalmology at New York University and the first black woman staff surgeon at UCLA Medical Centre.
I loved the first bracelet I bought so much that I decided to buy another in a different colour, one for me and one for my daughter who is diabetic. I’m keeping hers until Christmas but I know she’s going to love it! I wanted to change the plates so that the medical symbol was red and Shelley was so lovely and easy to correspond with. The price is so affordable too that I will definitely be coming back….. again! Thank you Shelley!
Bracelet is exactly as expected, pretty and creative. My mother really liked her gift. It's a cute, discreet way to show she's diabetic and still be a little fashionable!
So pretty that I'm more than happy to wear it. I love it. It's made in one of my favourite colours, and fits perfectly on my very slim wrist. Shelley was the only seller to make medicalert bracelets in a very small size. It was a pleasure to shop with Shelley. There was a slight problem, but she rectified it very swiftly. Thank you, my bracelet could be a lifesaver x
